If you are receiving this email it is because we have record that you have applied to graduate from UNC this year in May 2018. What this means for you is that you will not be eligible to renew your lease with us for the 2018-2019 academic year, and if you do your application will be cancelled. You must be moved out of your apartment by May 31st, 2018. Please fill out the below link for Notice to Vacate to let us know which date you are planning to move out and return your keys. You will be responsible for the entire month of May’s rent.
NOTE 1* - What we can and are allowed to offer you, is a 1 month lease extension allowing you to stay at maximum to June 30th, 2018. If you are wanting to request this lease extension, please fill out the following form to let me know by a deadline of March 31st.
NOTE 2*- If you are requesting to stay longer than June 30th for whatever reason (i.e. trying to find other housing options, taking a professional exam, or etc) I cannot guarantee your apartment past June 30th. I will do my absolute best to accommodate you past this date if I am able, HOWEVER, I will not be able to give you an answer of an extension past June 30th until I make all the assignments for the new incoming residents. This decision to stay any longer past June 30th will be communicated to you in mid- April.
NOTE 3* - If for any reason this is a mistake and your program does not end and you are graduating (i.e. in the month of December) please let me know.
