We hope that you are doing well and enjoying a well-deserved break after a long fall semester.

As previously announced, the University is requiring re-entry and regular evaluation COVID-19 testing for students during the spring semester. While there is no specific testing requirement for Baity Hill residents, you will be required to participate in the testing program as directed by your academic program. If you have questions about this requirement, please consult your department.

As a reminder, you must log into ConnectCarolina and visit the Student Requirements Dashboard to complete two important steps no later than January 6:

  • Update your phone number for the spring semester (because you live in Baity Hill, your address will be pre-filled).
  • Complete the COVID-10 student acknowledgement.

All students must acknowledge they have read and will follow the COVID-19 Community Standards in order to live on campus and participate in spring classes.

The continuation of all COVID-19 protocols, the addition of the testing programs and the expansion of our isolation and quarantine housing have been made to help ensure a successful spring semester. In an email sent on October 23, the Chancellor and Provost announced that “we will continue to monitor the path of the virus over the coming months as we finalize plans for the spring semester. We are prepared to modify our approach in order to support our community based upon the prevailing trends.” As such, we remind you to please check your email regularly for communications and updates from the University and Carolina Housing. Additionally, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for the late-breaking announcements.

Best wishes for a safe winter break. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out: (919) 843-8831 or email [email protected].

Stay well and take care,

Baity Hill Staff
